POTIO APOTHECA candles are a simple pleasure – bringing joy to the everyday. Fragrances are rich, and straightforward. A true minimalist expression, every detail matters.
OUR STORY
I fell for fragrance working in Harrods’ fragrance halls in London. Yes, I was the person dressed in all black offering innocent passersby a spritz of this or a dab of that! Prior to this experience, I had associated perfume with mystery musk and celebrity endorsement, but while helping countless customers find their signature scent, I discovered the world of fine fragrance – full of nuance and depth. I was hooked.
Returning to the US, I set out to create my own line. My composition philosophy is to create fragrances with fewer ingredients and more clarity while maintaining depth. This thoughtful layering allows the core of the fragrance to shine while additional notes enhance the heart of the of the scent and add subtle nuance. For example, I prefer my lavender uninterrupted and my grapefruit unsweetened. It took years to develop my five fragrances. This attention to detail has delivered a high compliment - every fragrance is equally selected. All have been carefully crafted and all are loved.
